Hi there, I am planning to visit USA to stay with my son in Minneapolis for 3 - 4 months from 15 oct 2022. I am aged 60 years and my wife 55 years. Both of us are type 2 diabetes with medication. We carry medicines from India for the same. What are the benefits if we opt for PED additionally. Also, I have chosen 0 deductible and it shows urgent care co-pay as 35. Does this mean I have to pay 35 for each doctor visit even in 0 deductible ?
We do have 1 plan that can provide coverage for pre-existing conditions.
The plan you are looking at is the Safe Travels Comprehensive plan that provides a benefit for acute onset of pre-existing conditions.
I have attached the information regarding acute onset benefits below for you to review.

I am not sure what you are referring to, "PED". Visitors insurance will generally pay for any new medical conditions,
injuries or accident that did not exist before the effective date of the policy.
The Visitors Protect plan above that provides coverage for pre-existing conditions does have it's own benefit maximum and a $1500 deductible. It also must be purchased before departure from home country when traveling to the U.S.
Yes, in regards to the Safe Travels USA Comprehensive plan, if you go to an Urgent care for treatment of a covered expense under the plan, the deductible would be waived for the appointment itself and you would have a $35.00 copay. Be advised that direct billing is up to the provider. Therefore, a provider could have you pay up front and then you would need to file a claim for reimbursement.
