I see that Insubuy shows up as licensed insurance broker. Can you point me to the site where I can see Lloyds, underwriter of Atlas America plan as a licensed insurance carrier.

The explanation for this not simple but I will try my best to explain in as easy terms as possible. For Indian citizen visiting USA, there is possibly no requirement of the insurance company being licensed in California. Visitor can visit anywhere they like to. They can go to Niagara Falls, Washington DC, Las Vegas or visit your home in California. Just because you are located in California, insurance company is not required to be licensed in California because you are not buying for yourself. Any insurance company would become admitted carrier (licensed carrier) in a given state if they want to insure the residents of that state while they are in that state. E.g., Blue Cross, Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna etc. Such admitted company would give insurance only to the residents of a given state and not tourists to USA. Having said that, Lloyds is an approved surplus lines carrier in California. Again, that is not because your mother may end up visiting California while visiting USA, but because Lloyds insures other properties located in California that cannot be insured by traditional admitted carriers. Department of Insurance of California earlier used to maintain the list of approved surplus lines carriers in California earlier but they have discontinued that practice few years ago. In short, your mother has nothing to do with California with respect to the insurance. Therefore, it is absolutely fine for her mother to be insured with Atlas America plan that is underwritten by Lloyds. If your mother gets sick or injured in California, she will definitely be covered for eligible expenses. You can purchase it online at /atlasamerica-insurance/ I hope that answers your questions. Regarding reviews, you can see genuine reviews about Insubuy’s service at https://www.immihelp.com/visitors-insurance-reviews/ Reviews are very tricky and there is no way to win for a service provider: • If there are positive reviews, people can say that those must be fake reviews written by the company itself. • If there are negative reviews, people can say that the company is bad. • If there are no reviews, people can say that no one is reviewing this company and therefore, no one must be using their service. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us at any time.
