I am a non US citizen and I am here on student visa with my husband and baby. I am planning to get pregnant here. What type of insurance plan should I buy and will it be covered?
Yes, some student plans will offer coverage for maternity related expenses as long as the pregnancy occurs after the effective date of the policy.
The plan with the most coverage for maternity will be Student Secure Elite. This plan will pay up to $25,000 for maternity related expenses. Other plans also offer coverage for maternity in varying amounts, which you can find in the Plan Benefits tab by clicking "view more" underneath each plan.
If you would like, you can run a quote in the Students (F1/F2) section of the website if you are on a F1/F2 visa, and the Exchange Visitors (J1/J2)section if you are on a J1/J2 visa. You are able to filter plans by maternity coverage on the left hand side of the page.
