Plans for visitors cover for new illnesses and new injuries that occur or manifest after the effective date of the policy. They do not cover for preventative care, routine maintenance, or pre-existing conditions. Some plans do provide Acute onset benefits for pre-existing conditions and I am attaching the information link about Acute onset coverage for you to reference from our website.

Some plans do include benefits for any medically necessary testing or treatment for Covid-19 as well. The plans will indicate if Covid-19 benefits are included or excluded.
Also, be advised that if you are going to turn 70 while here, you may want to purchase for the enitre duration you will be needing coverage. If you choose to purchase for example for a month and then extend as you go on the plans that are extendable, once your age increases, the price will also increase at the time of the extension. If you purchase for the full duration while still at age 69, the price will be locked in for the purchase period.
