Au pair international Insurance I am currently an Au Pair here in America and looking to stay in America for a few more days before I leave back to South Africa. My contract and insurance expires the 4th May, but my VISA only expires in June. On the 4th May, I would have been in America for 12 months. I read that the insurance needs to be effective before the 12 month period. How long before? Can I just get the insurance for the 3rd May to the 17th May (When I plan to leave the United States)?
