My parents initially came from India on January 13th 2019 and at that time they had visitor coverage till July 2019. But in May 2019 they had to go back to India and returned to US on June 8th 2019. When they returned to US we thought that there last insurance is valid till july 2019 and we will renew it in July but when we contacted insurance to renew it we were told it can not be renewed while you are in US moreover since they left US in May, the insurance got terminated the day they left US in may 2019. After that we thought that whenever they will go back and come again they will buy insurance but I applied for their Green card while they are here and we know that they are not going back anytime sooner that is why we are looking for insurance.

No short term plans will cover pre-existing conditions, preventative care, or routine maintenance.
