I have been approved for a green card. Currently, I live in Athens Greece and I expect the next 6 months to permanently move to the USA with my family. Except myself (age 50yrs), my spouse is 45yrs, child 1 (9 yrs), child 2 (12 yrs) and child 3 (14yrs). What would be the most appropriate health insurance for my family until I or my wife find a job. We have some friends in Maryland and we think we could rent something next to them unless MD is not a good option for health insurance purposes. We do have an option to stay in Washington DC as well.
If you choose MD then you would have to contact the MD state department of insurance to see if they have any plans available in MD since the plans we offer are not available in MD. If you choose Washington DC then the plan we would recommend is Patriot America Plus. This plan is available until you are eligible for a long term domestic plan.
