Travel Medical Insurance

Question:

I am 51 years old and will travel from India to London from 10/15/2019 to 10/18/2019. I am a US citizen who permanently resides in India. Could you please advise that insurance would be best for my situation Please suggest something which participates in the PPO network and cashless hospitalization policy. Also suggest an underwrite who has a better chance of settling claims.

Answer:

We would be glad to assist.

Any of our plans in our travel outside the U.S. section would be appropriate for your below described travel.

We would recommend either the Patriot International or Atlas International plans.  However, the minimum trip duration on the plans would be 5 days, so you will need to enter 5 days of coverage.  You could add a day to the end of the travel using the dates of Oct 15-Oct 19 to meet those requirements.

The policy maximum and deductible options are yours to choose from.  These plans have multiple options and you just want to choose the policy maximum knowing that if anything starts to go beyond that maximum, you would then from there being paying out of pocket. The quotes I am sending I have set the policy maximum at $500,000. Because your trip duration is short, the premiums will be low even with that higher policy maximum. The deductible we would just recommend choosing an amount you are comfortable with paying out of pocket all at once if needed.

After reviewing the sent quotes, if you have any questions, please let us know.
