We have two river cruise vouchers to use for our next trip. (We had to cancel due to a medical emergency...and the cruise company provided us the vouchers.) Technically the vouchers have no trip value...but they total 11K. Husband and I both have medical issues and want to purchase health insurancetravel insurance that includes coverage for preexisting conditions. Want a reputable travel insurance company. Need to know any special things to know on purchasing trip insurance using vouchers.
Yes, there are some plans that will allow you to insure cruise vouchers. While some trip insurance plans will provide waivers for pre-existing conditions, there is a time frame in which the plan needs to be purchased in order to be eligible for those waivers. Unfortunately, based on the information you provided, you would not be eligible for those waivers.
You would be welcome to insure your new trip, but cancellations due to a pre-existing condition would not receive coverage.
