The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)—which was developed by the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) created by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and JCB—is an extensive set of technical and operational standards that a company needs to follow to ensure that all companies that process, store, or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment.

When a business is PCI-compliant, it means that that the business reviews and follows the guidelines set forth by the credit card companies to help ensure your credit card information is protected and your personal information is secure.
My school Tufts University has the following requirements. Does any of your plans meet these requirements? 1)Is your policy underwritten and/or administered by a US based company or an embassy sponsored plan? 2)Does your plan provide unlimited maximum benefits for covered medical expenses? 3)Does your plan cover preventive; primary care; and ambulatory patient services in the area you will reside during August 2023 to August 2024? 4)Does your plan cover emergency care benefits in the area you will reside during August 2023 to August 2024? 5)Does your plan cover inpatient hospitalization for medical services in the area you will reside during August 2023 to August 2024? 6)Does your plan cover inpatient and outpatient (non-elective) surgical services in the area you will reside during August 2023 to August 2024? 7)Does your plan cover inpatient and outpatient mental health care benefits in the area you will reside during August 2023 to August 2024? 8)Does your plan cover labwork, diagnostic X-rays, physical therapy, chiropractic care in the area you will reside during August 2023 to August 2024? 9)Does your plan cover maternity, newborn care, and pediatric services within the area you will reside as mandated by the ACA? 10)Do you certify that your plan does not impose an annual or lifetime limit on the dollar amount? 11)Does your plan provide coverage for any pre-existing conditions with no waiting period? 12)Does your plan provide coverage for prescriptions up to the plan maximum? 13)Does your plan cover in-network and out-of-network providers within 50 miles for emergency and non-emergency services in the area you will reside? 14)Does your plan provide repatriation of remains? 15)Does your plan provide medical evacuation?
These plans are not ACA complaint and there will not be any plans for visitors that will meet these requirements.
You will need to purchase insurance through your school.
