F1 insurance for a student Hi, I'm looking for insurance for my son, Australian, 17 years old, and will be studying full time and playing intercollegiate soccer at Jefferson Community College, Watertown, NY. He will initially require cover for one year with possibly extending to 2 years. We require comprehensive cover which will cover him, his personal property, travel, injury, sickness etc. We would prefer cover which has no excess payable when making claims. Hope you can help.

Thanks for getting back to me. My son has an F1 visa and will be arriving in the US on 31 July. Jefferson Community College has a health care plan but I'm not sure that it covers him for the entire time that he's in the US. I'm still trying to get some answers from them about what he's covered for. We require a comprehensive insurance and preferably one where we don't need to pay an excess when my son makes claims.
