Expatriate Health Insurance

Question:

GeoBlue Insurance quote With regard to my proposed Explorex Premier Elite Health Insurance, when you say "80 for the Coinsurance", do you mean I have to pay first the 20% before the Coinsurance pay for the 80%? Is New Jersey in my plan in the network? If I travel to California 3 months after I am covered by my plan in New Jersey, can California be considered in the network?

Answer:

The plan will pay 80% and you will pay 20%. This plan is available in both states so you would be covered in both places.

Does my plan mean that I will always pay 20% of whatever is the hospitalization cost?

Thank you for your interest in purchasing GeoBlue Xplorer Premier insurance. Please note that, within the U.S., within the PPO network, you will have to pay 20% and insurance company will pay 80%. However, once you have paid $2,000 out of your pocket in such manner, after that, the insurance company will pay 100% up to the policy maximum in eligible expenses. Please note that it is not that entire state of New Jersey or California is in the network. That is NOT how the PPO network works. Each individual hospital or the doctor chooses to be part of the PPO network or not.
