Hello, my husband (35), daughter (5), and I (33) are thinking about living in Ghana part time. We are currently in TN. If we buy Expatriate health insurance, will this cover us when we are in Ghana, and the US? I see that's its about 7000 annually, so I want to see will this be a good option for us instead of just buying health care solely in the US and then using international insurance when we are abroad. We are healthy, and need coverage for our yearly physicals, vision, and dental. Does the comprehensive plan cover vision and dental or is it health insurance only? Thanks.
Most expat plans will cover as long as you spend most of your time outside of the US. Please check the plan benefits to determine how much the plan covers towards doctor visits. The plans are mainly medical and not dental and vision plans so they can cover accident related issues but not regular visits.
