question regarding insurance Hi, I'm using insubuy.com to find health insurance for me and my family (J1 scholar). I was wondering why "Atlas America" does not appear on the J1/J1 search results? Are they missing some of the J1/J2 requirements? if yes, which ones? Thank you,
We offer Atlas America plan at /atlasamerica-insurance/ but that does not meet the J-1 visa requirements specified by U.S. department of state, listed at /exchange-visitor-insurance/ Please note that J-1 visa requirements state that you must get at least $50,000 per accident or sickness. However, the policy maximum in Atlas America is life time policy maximum. That is, if you take $50,000 policy maximum, it would be $50,000 life time and not per accident or sickness, as requried by J1 visa requirements. I hope that clarfies.
