J1 visitor insurance needed I'm a J-1 scholar who'll be conducting research at Ohio State University in the spring semester 2016 (3-4 months). I'm looking for an eligible health insurance program that will meet the requirements set both by the government and the university. Could you please specify which of your plans will be eligible for me?

The university requirements are the following: The U.S. Department of State (DOS) requires a certain level of health insurance coverage for all J-1 scholars to participate in an exchange visitor program in the United States. This means that all J-1 scholars and J-2 dependents hosted at The Ohio State University are required by law to have health insurance that meets DOS requirements. Depending on your situation, you may also be subject to Affordable Care Act (ACA) rules during your stay.

I've determined that I'm not subject ACA rules during my stay. I need a health insurance for J1 scholars that meets DOS requirements. I'll spending 4-5 months in the US, I'm 38 and non-US citizen. No spouse, no children.
