J1 and maternity insurance What would happen if my wife get pregnant during the time we are there in US? Is there any insurance to cover this kind of situation?
What type of visa will you be coming to the US on?
by J1. Visiting scholar. i have plan to stay there for 9- 10 months.
There are plans that cover maternity for J1/J2 but the pregnancy would have to be after the policy effective date and in some cases would require a waiting period before coverage would begin. You would also have to make sure that any plan you choose meets any requirements set by your sponsor. If you have any requirements that need to be met please forward those requirements as a PDF attachment and then we can recommend a plan.
