Can you clarify whether the Atlas America covers 'Acute onset of pre-exiting conditions' as this is what it states on the webpage? Also would it therefore cover playing waterpolo as a recreational sport as the uni does not play this on a competitive level?
Yes, the Atlas America plan does offer the Acute Onset benefit. Please see the certificate wording for details about sports coverage on page 19 under exclusions item 37a for sports. You can also contact our office and speak with a licensed insurance agent for more assistance.
