Greetings! I am a US citizen whose home country is the US. I am retired at 67. My partner lives in Austria and she has a job and residence permit. I will soon have to apply for residence so I can stay with her for more than the 90day minimum. My medical needs are very minor and inexpensive so I expect to pay for them out of my Social Security checks. Here is my question Because I am only going to acquire medical insurance in Austria so authorities can "tick that box" on my application for a visa, that insurance must be the absolute minimal, cheapest possible medical insurance the country will nevertheless accept.
