The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)—which was developed by the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) created by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and JCB—is an extensive set of technical and operational standards that a company needs to follow to ensure that all companies that process, store, or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment.

The University of Idaho, located in Moscow, Idaho, was established in 1889 as the state’s land-grant university. It was the only university in Idaho until 1963. The school opened its doors as a co-educational institution to 40 students in 1892, and the first class graduated in 1896. The College of Law opened in 1909 and was accredited by the American Bar Association in 1925. The University of Idaho is also the state’s premier research university and the lead university in the Idaho Space Grant Consortium. Research entities and institutes on campus include the Idaho Water Resources Research Institute; the Aquaculture Research Institute; the Institute for Modeling, Collaboration and Innovation; the Idaho Geological Survey; and the National Institute for Advanced Transportation Technology.
Points of interest on campus include the “Hello Walk”, a pathway through campus that passes by campus statues, landmarks, and traditions; a golf course; an arboretum and botanical garden; the UI Library, the state’s largest library with a collection of more than 1.4 million; and a steam plant.
