The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)—which was developed by the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) created by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and JCB—is an extensive set of technical and operational standards that a company needs to follow to ensure that all companies that process, store, or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment.

The University of Hawaii at Manoa, located in Honolulu, Hawaii, was established in 1907. It’s a public research university and the flagship school of the University of Hawaii system. It was founded as the College of Hawaii, a land-grant college of agriculture and mechanic arts. Its current campus in the Manoa Valley was established in 1912 among pig farms and kiawe groves. In 1920, the College of Arts and Sciences opened, and along with it came official university status and a corresponding name change. Today, the school enrolls more than 17,000 students and counting each year. Its colors are green and white, and its athletic nicknames are the Rainbow Warriors (for men) and the Rainbow Wahine (for women).
UH Manoa is a land-grant, sea-grant, space-grant, and sun-grant research institution. It has received particular attention for its research initiatives in oceanography, astronomy, Pacific Islands and Asian area studies, linguistics, cancer research, and genetics. Noteworthy research insitutes on campus include the Pacific Biosciences Research Center and the Hawaii Institute of Geophysics and Planetology. The school is also home to the William S. Richardson School of Law and the John A. Burns School of Medicine.
