Across all of its locations, UTRGV enrolls almost 30,000 students and counting each year. Representative of the demographics of the Rio Grande Valley region, almost 90% of the UTRGV student body is Latino, practically all Mexican-Americans. The university boasts a bilingual, bicultural, and biliterate learning experience across all its programs. The school colors are orange, gray, green, and navy, and its athletic nickname is the Vaqueros.
UTRGV offers more 120 bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree programs across its 13 academic colleges and schools.
