Life in a new city can be exhilarating, yet full of unexpected challenges. Even minor health issues can turn into financial emergencies without proper insurance coverage. Healthcare in the U.S. is very expensive, and you can quickly rack up unaffordable bills if you require treatment and don’t have insurance. International student medical insurance can act as a safety net to protect your finances in case you get injured or sick.
PVCC offers a basic health insurance plan to all its international students. However, this insurance doesn’t cover any medical emergencies occurring off-campus. Your best course of action is to research several plans meeting all your requirements for insurance that can provide coverage the entire time you’re in Scottsdale. Do thorough research and compare different plans to find the one that suits your needs the best.
