Dependents with an F-2 visa can select any plan in the Student (F-1/F-2) section of the website. Phoenix College does not mention insurance requirements for J-1 international students. However, it is stated by the Maricopa Community College system that it’s highly recommended they have health insurance. J-1 visa holders and J-2 dependents must select a plan that meets all minimum limits required by the Department of State. All plans under the Exchange Visitor (J-1/J-2) section will meet the requirements mandated by the Department of State. It is recommended to contact the ISSO to verify the health insurance requirements prior to purchase, as detailed information may only be provided to the attendee.
