The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)—which was developed by the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) created by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and JCB—is an extensive set of technical and operational standards that a company needs to follow to ensure that all companies that process, store, or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment.

The Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology (OSUIT), located in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, is part of the Oklahoma State University System. It’s the only university of applied technology in the state of Oklahoma. It opened in 1946 as the Oklahoma A&M College School of Technical Training, and its focus was providing educational opportunities to veterans. It changed its name several times—including a stint as OSU-Okmulgee—before adopting its current name in 2008. Today, OSUIT enrolls more than 3,000 students and counting each year.
OSUIT offers Associate in Applied Science degrees, Associate in Science degrees, and Bachelor of Technology degrees across its four academic divisions: the School of Arts, Sciences & Health; the School of Transportation & Heavy Equipment; the School of Creative & Information Technologies, and the School of Engineering & Construction Technologies.
The school’s Workforce & Economic Development program partners with local industries to assist with customized training, technology deployment, applied research, strategic planning, and more. Just a few of its training opportunities are business & management training, culinary arts training, OSHA training, quality assurance training, and construction technologies training. The goal of the program is to prepare learners for the day-to-day realities of the work environment.
OSUIT’s campus features several amenities to promote personal health and wellness. These include basketball and racquetball courts, workout rooms, a sauna, nearly two miles of campus trails, and a 9-hole disc golf course. The school also offers free personal and/or career counseling to students.
