As per the rules of the institute, international students must have health insurance before they join any program at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

What’s the need for Oak Ridge National Laboratory (Oak Ridge, TN) health insurance for international students?

If you become sick or get hurt while studying in the United States, it is essential to have health insurance in place to receive treatment. Most people cannot afford to pay for the high cost of medical care out of their own pocket. Attempting to do so could result in debt that takes years to pay off. To avoid this predicament, be sure to have proper insurance coverage in place before beginning your studies at ORNL.

How to find the best student health insurance for Oak Ridge National Laboratory?

Before selecting an insurance plan, research what requirements your coverage has to meet in order to be sufficient for your program or visa status. Consider the premium you’d pay for each plan, the maximum out-of-pocket expenses, and what you’d stand to pay yourself in multiple treatment scenarios. From there, you can narrow your choices down to the ideal plan for your needs.
