Hi, Im Rachel, 36, US citizen living a broad.Im pregnant and planning to visit the US this summer. I plan on returning back home to Israel to give birth (returning on my 36 week of pregnancy).I would like to purchase US health insurance that covers my pregnancy for safety, on my visit. Israeli travel insurance doesnt cover pregnancy past week 32.Im healthy & Im having a healthy pregnancy.Ill be traveling to the US for 2 month. (Mid June to mid August).Do you have an insurance coverage that fits my criteria How much does it costThanks so much!
Unfortunately, there is not a plan that will provide coverage for any maternity related expenses for a U.S. citizen. Any related cost would be considered an out of pocket expense.
Plans will provide coverage for any new accidents or illnesses that did not exist on the on the effective date of the policy and pregnancy would be considered a pre-existing condition. So anything unrelated to the pregnancy that happened after the policy effective date unrelated to pre-existing conditions is what the plan would cover.
