Question:

Questions concerning new immigrants insurnace I hope this finds you in good cheer. I am writing to inquire about the best plans which would suit my mom and dad. My mom and dad are both green card holders and will be visiting us starting later this year. They plan to stay with us for atleast a year. Here are some details Dad age 78, suffers from diabetes and high blood pressure Mom age 72, suffers from diabetes. Can you tell us the best insurance i can buy until medicare kicks in after citizenship in another 3 years. Also what would this cover (pre existing conditions etc) how much the premium would be and what would be the deductible, max payable by insurance and the post deductible cut we would have to bear. Also how reliable is this when it comes to getting the insurance to pay and finally does one get to choose doctorsservices etc. Does it cover hospital stay, medicines etc thanks in advance,

Answer:

We have a special section dedicated to new immigrants insurance at /new-immigrant-insurance/ Over there, we have a plan called the bridge plan, specifically designed for new immigrants who are waiting for medicare eligibility. You can look at the brochure at /bridge-plan/health-insurance/ Insurance company will pay for any new medical conditions, injuries or accidents that may occur after the effective date of the policy. It will not cover any pre-existing conditions. It will also not cover outpatient (just inaptient) prescription medications. You first pay the deductible, then 80/20 to $10,000 and then 100% to $250,000 up to age 74. $100,000 to age 75-79. $50,000 to age 80-84. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
