Insurance for missionary to Africa My wife and I are contemplating going to Africa as missionaries of our sending Church, Lake Tomahawk Bible Church. We would be long-term, possibly lifetime and would work in ten different countries in Africa. We are self supporting and retired. I will be Medicare eligible on June 1, 2007 and my wife is 73 and already participating in Medicare along with a supplemental policy. Please give us any advice you deem relevant and ask any questions you might need to know. Thank you for your time on our behalf.

How do I find information about the Outreach Plan? It stated in the material that if one were going overseas for more than three months and the person was under age 80, that one should look at page 9 of this plan. It appears the maximum amount my wife could purchase is $50,000. Is that correct? We would have our Medicare coverage if we came back to the U.S., but we would need your coverage for local African care and emergency evacuation to other locations (probably outside of Africa and into Europe) for critical care. Your help and information, please. Thank you.
Brochure for Outreach is available at /outreach-international/missionary-travel-medical-insurance/ All the information is there. Maximum coverage for 70+ is $50,000. Yes, it covers new medical conditions anywhere outside home country and emergency evacuation as well. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
I am now buying the insurance online as I found how to do it, but the only concern is that the package will not make it to our address here on time, can I give an address of a friend in the states where we are going?? Thanks you,
