US citizens spending time both in US and in India Hi....I (61 yrs)wife (59yrs),both US citizens..hv a home in TX and in India....we r retired and stay 6 mo. ea in Tx and India or travel . Both are healthy but I had a elective by pass in 1999..not due to heart attack butdue to routine exam..having narrower arteries and some blocks and to prevent possible heart attack. I take aspirin, atenol, atorvastatin..but healthy...Don't hv any problems like BP or sugar etc....would like to hv very good insurance company to cover me in USA w/max deductible and 1 million coverage...I hv my own insurance in India.... I can take yearly insurance or monthly....o problem...At 65 I will get my mediclaim...but i need insurance until then... would u suggest me to buy yearly insurance ( don't mind and can afford if works cheaper) or monthly...what A+ company would U recommend and what is the annual or monthly premiums for both of us and how do we apply...while in USA we normally travel within USA, whenever we hv a chance...pls do advise....thanks... I looked t citizen secure ....is it the right one.....w/5000 deductible, the annual premium it says is $3784/...who is the insurance provider and AM rating? My wife is perfect healthy and ihad bYpass surgery done in April 1999 and i am perfectly healthy....Now i take atenol, ecospirin, strovas..in such a case, I assume that this will be excluded but for how long? pls advise.....For claims should i use insurance card or need to get approval if I hv major med situation.....pls advise and i will take insurance....thanks...
For short term visit less than 6 months, you can purchase Liaison International /patriot-america-plus-insurance/ as long as you spend more time outside the US than inside the US. Yes, Citizen Secure is a good plan. The underwriter is Lloyds and the AM Best rating is A "Excellent". It will cover pre-existing conditions just like any other medical conditions as long as disclosed on the application and not excluded by the rider. I have tried both links u gave me ...interested in platinum which gives private room...but the brochure for both links u gave says for non. US citizens only......pls respond again for suitable insurance for citizens, w/max deductible, good major health coverage w/private room, if hospitalized...pls suggest appropriate one again....Thanks...
Plans at /expatriate-health-insurance/ are for both US citizens and non-US citizens. Please let me know where you read it is only for non-US citizens. Please send me the exact URL.
