Question:

J2 visa, pregnancy question To whom it may concern, Dear Sir or Madam, I am a J1 visa holder. I am doing the post-doctoral research work in University of North Dakota. My wife is a J2 visa holder. And we will have a baby soon in this september. We want to buy a basic medical insurance that can make us eligible to stay in USA in the period of my contract. We want to buy a five-month insurance. So I just want to know how much per month for our conditions? Thank you very much.

Answer:

Please let me know whether your wife is already pregnant. Or is she planning to get pregnant?

Thank you very much for your reply. Yes, my wife is already pregnant. And her due day is about 24 Sept. this year. We plan to buy a insurance from Oct. 1st. Thanks again.

Please look at Visit USA-HealthCare at /j1-visa-health-insurance/ It meets all the requirements of J1/J2 visa insurance. You can get instant quotes, look at the plan details and make instant purchase online. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at any time.

I have browsed this webpage your provided. Because I don't know the exact birth date of my coming baby, I cannot input my baby's information right now. If I just buy the insurance for my wife and I present time, then can I add my baby in my insurance later? Usually, how long it will take to buy an insurance? I mean if I buy insurance at the end of Sept. is it OK? Because my current insurance will expire on the last day of this Sept. Another problem is there is only one hospital "Altru Clinic Hospital" in Grand Forks, ND. I want to know if this hospital included in the insurance list. I know that from the webpage you provided, the monthly premiums is $63 for age range from 30 to 39 and $43 for age under 19 for a Plan A with $500 deductible per illness. So if I buy this insurance for my family, it should be $63 for me plus $63 for my wife plus $43 for my coming baby, and the total is $169 for my whole family per month, am I right? Thank you very much.

1. You can add the child later as long as the child is not born in US (Not US citizen). 2. Insurance can start as early as the next day or any future date you specify. Therefore, you can buy towards the end of Sept. 3. It is covered. You can verify by going to /travel-and-student-insurance-ppo-network/ and searching yourself. 4. Right. The prices on the website are accurate and up to date. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us at anytime.
