Delaware State University Insurance Requirements

Delaware State University requires that all Exchange Visitors and their dependents have health insurance that meets certain requirements. Minimum coverage must include coverage of $100,000 per accident or illness, medical evacuation coverage of $50,000, and repatriation coverage of $25,000. The plan must include maternity benefits. Exchange Visitors will have to provide proof of insurance upon arrival on campus.

J-1 Scholars and their dependents must also obtain and provide proof of insurance to ISSO.

All students on F visas are required to enroll in the school’s insurance plan. Regardless of credit hours, the school insurance is mandatory.
