Visitors Care Platinum insurance is a designed to provide medical coverage for temporary visitors to the United States. It is a popular choice for parents, relatives, and loved ones in case they become sick or get injured during their visit to the US.
Visitors Care Platinum offers a period of coverage maximum limit of $100,000 per injury or illness. It can cover insureds as young as 14 days old, and up to 79 years old.
You can purchase Visitors Care Platinum for as few as five days of coverage, or up to 12 months of continuous coverage. The plan can be renewed for as little as five days, or up to an additional 12 months, or 24 months of cumulative coverage.
How do you use Visitors Care Platinum? It’s simple. After purchase, you’ll receive two ID cards: one that will be emailed to you, and a paper card sent out in the mail the next business day. You can go to your provider of choice for treatment, and present them with the ID card, allowing them to bill the insurance coverage directly if they choose.
This is a Scheduled Benefit Plan
A scheduled benefit plan provides fixed benefits. This means that you must first meet the deductible for the policy period. After the deductible has been met, the insurance plan will pay a fixed amount for any and all procedures. If the cost exceeds the fixed amount, you will be required to pay the difference.
Since travel plans can change, Visitors Care Platinum can be cancelled if you need to end coverage early. So long as no claims have been filed, you can cancel the coverage and receive a prorated refund, minus a $25 cancellation fee.
Visitors Care Platinum covers COVID-19 (coronavirus) just like any other new eligible medical condition that occurs after the effective date of the policy.
