Stanford University International Student Insurance
Stanford University, located in Stanford, California, is one of the world’s top private research universities. It was founded in 1885 by former California Governor Leland Stanford and his wife, Jane Lathrop Stanford, in honor of their only son, Leland Jr., who died of typhoid fever in 1884. The school opened its doors to students on Oct. 1, 1891.
