All international students are required to purchase Southern New Hampshire University’s school-sponsored insurance. Students can waive this coverage is they can provide proof of coverage by a comparable plan, or a U.S. policy through a government scholarship, or a parent/spouse working in the U.S. Southern New Hampshire University does not state insurance requirements for dependents. Those with an F-2 visa can select any plan in the Student (F-1/F-2) section of the website. J-2 visa holders must select a plan that meets all minimum limits required by the Department of State. All plans under the Exchange Visitor (J-1/J-2) section will meet the requirements mandated by the Department of State. It is recommended to contact the ISSO to verify the health insurance requirements prior to purchase, as detailed information may only be provided to the attendee.
