Pima Community College - West Campus International Student Insurance

Pima Community College (PCC), founded in 1966, is a community college with six campuses and four education centers spread throughout Pima County, Arizona. It’s a two-year school that serves students in the Tucson metropolitan area. Construction on the first campus began in 1969, and it opened its doors to students in 1970. It opened as Pima College, but was quickly renamed Pima Community College by 1972 to better represent the school’s purpose. Today, it consistently ranks among the top ten largest multi-campus community colleges in the U.S. Across all of its campuses and programs, it enrolls about 40,000 students and counting each year. The school colors are orange, blue, and white, and its athletic nickname is the Aztecs.

Academic Offerings

Academically, PCC offers almost 150 different programs leading to associate’s degrees and certificates. It currently offers six different associate’s degrees: Associate of Arts, Associate of Business, Associate of Science, Associate of Fine Arts, Associate of Applied Arts, and Associate of General Studies. In addition to its credit programs and courses, it offers noncredit courses for professional development or personal enrichment purposes, career training programs, and adult education programs that help adults prepare for a high-school equivalency exam or become more proficient in the English language.
