The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)—which was developed by the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) created by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and JCB—is an extensive set of technical and operational standards that a company needs to follow to ensure that all companies that process, store, or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment.

Pima Community College (PCC), founded in 1966, is a community college with six campuses and four education centers spread throughout Pima County, Arizona. It’s a two-year school that serves students in the Tucson metropolitan area. Construction on the first campus began in 1969, and it opened its doors to students in 1970. It opened as Pima College, but was quickly renamed Pima Community College by 1972 to better represent the school’s purpose. Today, it consistently ranks among the top ten largest multi-campus community colleges in the U.S. Across all of its campuses and programs, it enrolls about 40,000 students and counting each year. The school colors are orange, blue, and white, and its athletic nickname is the Aztecs.
Academically, PCC offers almost 150 different programs leading to associate’s degrees and certificates. It currently offers six different associate’s degrees: Associate of Arts, Associate of Business, Associate of Science, Associate of Fine Arts, Associate of Applied Arts, and Associate of General Studies. In addition to its credit programs and courses, it offers noncredit courses for professional development or personal enrichment purposes, career training programs, and adult education programs that help adults prepare for a high-school equivalency exam or become more proficient in the English language.
The Northwest Campus, located in Tucson, Arizona, was established in 1998 as the Northwest Community Learning Center. It became a full-fledged campus in 2003. It offers a broad range of recreational and cultural programs to the local community. It’s also home to PCC’s programs in therapeutic massage, clinical research coordination, and hotel and restaurant management. The campus’ Student Life Center displays student art exhibits that rotate each semester. Among the many campus amenities are a library and state-of-the-art science laboratories for class and research.
