General Information

Mississippi College is the oldest university in Mississippi. The private Baptist college, founded in 1826, is home to over 5,000 students. The college is a part of the state’s heritage. It has witnessed the Civil War and two World Wars, and it also underwent reconstruction through those tumultuous times.

Regardless of the upheavals, the college has maintained its zeal to carry on with God’s work and aims to implement Christ’s teachings among students—and, by extension, in the community. The college offers courses in languages, art and sciences. It accepts domestic and international students from all over the world.

As one of the first coeducational colleges in the United States to award a degree to a female student, the institute believes in providing quality education to every student who wants to learn and wants to serve the community in the name of Jesus.
