International Students 

Lincoln University states that due to the policy change by the Board of Curators, student health insurance is mandated for international students. For this reason, international students are required to enroll in the school's insurance plan, and are not allowed to waive this insurance coverage. 

Lincoln University does not inform any insurance requirements for the dependents of international students. Therefore, F-2 student dependents can select any plan shown in the Student (F-1/F-2) section. J-2 international student dependents may not have insurance mandates from the school; however, the U.S. Department of State does require them to obtain and maintain insurance coverage meeting the federal limits for the duration of their stay in the U.S. The plans shown in the Exchange Visitor (J-1/J-2) section meet these requirements.  

It is recommended to contact Admissions or the International Student Service office to verify the health insurance requirements prior to purchase, as detailed information may only be provided to the attendee.

Exchange Visitors 

Lincoln University does not provide information regarding a J visa Exchange Visitor Program (EVP), or for J-1 Visiting Scholars. However, Department of State regulations state that J visa holders must purchase health insurance that meets the federal standards for the full duration of their time in the U.S. All plans under the Exchange Visitor (J-1/J-2) section meet the requirements mandated by the Department of State. It is recommended to contact Admissions or the International Student Service office to verify the health insurance requirements prior to purchase, as detailed information may only be provided to the attendee.
