When a business is PCI-compliant, it means that that the business reviews and follows the guidelines set forth by the credit card companies to help ensure your credit card information is protected and your personal information is secure.
Florida Southwestern State College is a multi-campus university and a prominent member of the Florida College System. The campus in Naples is called the Collier campus and serves around 20% of the total student population. There are currently more than 16,000 students pursuing degrees and certificate programs at the college.
The Collier campus of FSW is home to students and faculty members from all over the world and is distinguished by its diversity of backgrounds, cultures, and experiences. It is a new campus and is housed in four state-of-the-art, environmentally efficient green buildings that are well-loved by students.
At FSW, you can take classes to earn an associate’s degree, a bachelor’s degree, or a certificate in a range of fields according to your interest. You can choose from over 45 different academic programs from any of the five schools:
The most popular academic programs are associate’s degrees in science and engineering technology, computer programming and analysis, crime scene technology, and nursing. Students also opt for certificate courses in digital media production, computer programming, risk and insurance management, and health and human services (among others) to thoroughly prepare themselves for their professional careers.
International students can participate in the various student activity and interest clubs that are extremely popular on campus alongside their academic work.
The Collier Campus of FSW is a conducive and healthy place for students to live and study, but there are some risks of living in Florida. The state is extremely warm most of the year. The heat can lead to dehydration or heat exhaustion and cause emergency room admissions.
The sun and sand are an integral part of life here. Life at the beach is quite a big thing, but that also has attendant risks such as drowning. Surfing accidents are quite plentiful, too. Watch out and take it easy when having fun.
FSW requires all international students (F-1/F-2 and J-1/J-2 visa holders) to be covered by adequate health insurance when they enroll on campus. It is also a state-mandated legal requirement for any international student to study at a public college.
Additionally, getting private healthcare in the U.S. is extremely expensive and complicated, so the best option is to pick from the best medical insurance plans offered for international students studying in the USA. Your plan must cover the minimum requirements of doctors’ visits, hospitalization, emergency care, and prescription medication.
The university requires all international students studying abroad in the U.S. to have adequate health insurance that lasts their full duration of stay in the country.
First, having the minimum health insurance is a non-negotiable requirement to join the college and register for courses. You cannot enroll unless you have a health insurance plan that meets the set requirements.
Secondly, trying to arrange private healthcare in times of emergency is a highly expensive option, so being prepared with health insurance coverage is the best option for international students.
Before selecting a plan, make sure to compare the costs and benefits of all your options, and then choose the one best suited to your budget and personal requirements.
