International Students

All international F-1 status students attending Columbus College of Art and Design are automatically enrolled in the school’s International Student Health Insurance Plan. F-1 students can add dependents to the school’s plan for an extra fee, or purchase an alternative plan for their dependents that meets federal limits. Those with an F-2 visa can select any plan in the Student (F-1/F-2) section of the website as these do meet the federal limits as required by the school.

Exchange Visitors

CCAD does not cite insurance mandates for J-1/J-2 international students or J-1/J-2 individuals participating in the Exchange Visitors Program. However, the Department of State does mandate all J visa holders must select a plan that meets all minimum limits of coverage required for the full duration of their stay. All plans under the Exchange Visitor (J-1/J-2) section will meet the requirements mandated by the Department of State. It is recommended to contact the ISSO to verify the health insurance requirements prior to purchase, as detailed information may only be provided to the attendee.
