On this website, you can quickly obtain an instant quote and also purchase coverage. Your insurance coverage can start as early as tomorrow or a future date. What is covered and not covered?

Coverage is available for medical expenses due to accidents and sickness that happen after the effective date of the insurance policy. This plan will not cover any expenses due to pre-existing conditions, preventive care, routine check-ups, or maternity; refer to the certificate wording for complete details of exclusions.

Prescription drugs are covered like any other eligible medical expenses.

Limited dental coverage is available if there is an injury or in case of unexpected pain to sound, natural teeth. For an injury, $500 is provided. For relief of pain, $100 is provided.

Safe Travel Outbound Cost Saver provides coverage anywhere outside the United States for U.S. citizens and residents, including travel time. It also provides some travel related benefits.

How much is covered?

Whichever deductible you choose, you will pay it once for the policy period. You can choose from $0, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000, and $2,500.

If you are a resident of New Hampshire, Minnesota or Pennsylvania, deductible is $0.

You can also choose your policy maximum. Options vary by age, and some ages have limited options, choices range from $50,000 to $500,000.

After you pay your deductible, the plan will pay 100% up to your selected policy maximum.

Example:

For both of the examples below, let us assume that you purchased 3 months of coverage with a $50,000 policy maximum and a $500 deductible.

  • In this example, you are visiting a doctor for a new sickness and then a new injury.

The first time you visit the doctor, the doctor charges $150 - so you will pay $150 for your first visit. You still owe $350 towards your $500 deductible.

The second time you visit the doctor it is for a new injury, the doctor again charges $150. Because you still owe $350 towards your deductible, you will pay $150 for the visit.

The doctor requests a follow up appointment in a week for the new injury. At your third appointment, the doctor again charges $150, this time you will only pay $100 - the insurance company will pay the remaining $50.

For any additional visits to a doctor, the insurance company would pay 100% up to your selected policy maximum.

  • In this example, you were in an accident and hospitalized for 4 days.

The hospital charges you $15,000 for each day of hospitalization, a total of $60,000. Of the $60,000 charge, you will pay your deductible of $500 first, and then the insurance plan will pay the rest.

The plan will pay $49,500 and you will pay the remaining $10,000.

If you had chosen a higher policy maximum, such as $100,000, then the insurance plan would have paid $59,500. You would be responsible for your chosen deductible ($500).
