Emergency medical evacuation insurance plans provide the transportation to the nearest medical facility
where the adequate care can be given. It is generally from hospital to hospital transportation coverage.
Such plans generally do not evacuate to you to wherever you want and the decision is jointly made by
the emergency assistance department of the insurance company and the attending physician. You can generally
buy the insurance in multiples of 3 months and some plans may have the restriction for the longest duration
for each trip.
