Hi, I intend to buy international student travel insurance. I will be going to the US on 14 August 2017 on a J1 visa. I have pre-existing asthma and a heart condition (have had asthma since childhood and the heart condition for ten years already) and want a plan that covers this - hospital check ups, medical care, medication and inpatient/outpatient hospitalization. Can you suggest a plan that suits my requirements? Thank you.
Insurance will not cover your pre-existing immediately. There is 6 months waiting period. If you need to cover it immediately, you can purchase insurance from your school.
Otherwise you can purchase Student Secure Select plan with 6 months pre-ex waiting period.
