Q:J1/J2 medical insurance Hello, I am looking for a plan for me and my wife. We have J1/J2 Visas. "Atlas America", "Patriot Exchange Program", "Inbound Immigrant" sounds good for us. My school requires an insurance policy to be underwritten by a n insurance corporation to have an A.M. Best rating of "A-" or above, an Insurance solvency International, Ltd. rating of "A-" or above, a Standard & Poor's Claims paying Ability of "A-" or above, a Weiss Research, Inc. rating "B+" or above. Would you tell me which plan does well with the requirement? Thank you.
Q:J1 visitor insurance needed Hello，Sir， I will study at US for a year. And I have a four year old child. The minimum Department of State insurance guidelines and the coverage Duke University requires for a waiver of the HTH Worldwide Insurance plan are: • Medical benefits of at least $100,000 per accident or illness. • Repatriation of remains in the amount of $25,000. • Expenses associated with the medical evacuation of the exchange visitor to his or her home country in the amount of $50,000. • A deductible not to exceed $250 per accident or illness. • Waiting period for pre-existing conditions of 6 months (current industry standard). • May include provisions for co-insurance under the terms of which the exchange visitor may be required to pay up to 25% of the covered benefits per accident or illness. • Policy must be secured to meet the benefits requirements and be underwritten by an insurance corporation with an A.M. Best rating of "A-" or above, an Insurance Solvency International, Ltd. (ISI) rating of "A-I" or above, a Standard and Poor's Claims Paying Ability rating of "A-" or above, or a Weiss Research, Inc. rating of B+ or above. Alternatively, the sponsor may ascertain that the participant's policy is backed by the full faith and credit of the government of the exchange visitor's home country. Q:J1 visitor insurance needed I’m exploring insurance options for our two international visitors who will travel to and stay in Iowa from 6/22/16 to 8/12/16. Our university requires the following and I’d like to request a quote/options that will meet the requirements during the time of their stay. • Medical benefits: $100,000 minimum per accident or illness • Repatriation of remains in the amount of $25, 000 minimum • Medical evacuation coverage in the amount of $50,000 minimum • Annual deductible not to exceed $500 The two visitors are from China; one male with age of 23 and one female with age of 24.
