Q:I am an international student from Italy. I will start a master degree on January 7th 2019 at Florida International University (FIU) main campus in Miami. I would like to purchase an insurance plan with you, but in order to do it, the plan must fulfill the minimum standard requirements. You need to verify that the basic benefits are included in the policy I will do with you. Otherwise, this policy won't be accepted. I am going to attach the form you need to follow. Moreover, even though I start the master degree on January 7th 2019, I will arrive in Miami on December 11th 2018. So, if it is possible I would like to start the policy on the day I arrive until August 16th 2019 as the University requires. Before you complete the form and send it to FIU Student Health Services, I would like to know which plan fits my needs.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. The plan we would recommend that will meet your requirements is the Study USA Preferred plans. Please see the link below for more information including the quote and purchase link. The form can be completed once a plan is purchased. If you need additional assistance please feel free to contact our office.

Q: My 90yo mother n my 60 yo sister might come to visit with me. for 3 months. My sis is American Citizen by virtue of birth. Mom is not. Mom has CLL, beginning Alzheimers, and Macular Degeneration. .Sis has overactive tyroid

A:
We would be glad to assist. We do have plans that can provide coverage for your mother coming to visit, however, the plans available to someone 90 years old would be very limited. Also, all visitor plans on the market will cover for new illnesses and new injuries that occur or manifest after the effective date of the policy. The plans will not cover preventative care, routine maintenance, or pre-existing conditions. Therefore, any conditions that your mother or sister currently have, would not be covered under the plans. We can email quotes to you if you would like to provide the country of citizenship for your mother and resident country for both, as well as the dates of coverage you are looking for. Also, your mother and sister would have to be on separate policies, so we would send individual quotes for each person. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Q:Let me narrate my requirement of travel and medical/health insurance for non-us citizen for visiting to his/her Home Country; My son aged 34 years resident of Washington State USA, wish to travel back to Home Country and while coming back to USA wish to travel for sightseeing and attending some functions (please note that there is no official work or on duty visits) to Asian countries i.e. China, South Korea RoK. His travel period is going to start on 27 Nov and end on 30 Dec 2018. I also need the same insurance for my two daughter aged 28 years, one in Massachusetts State and second one is in California State. They are also accompanying with my son All of them are Non-US Citizens, doing job on H1B visa in United States and holding Indian Passport Please keep in mind they are visiting their Home Country. And most of insurances are only for those who travel out side of Home Country. Please suggest Fully Comprehensive Zero Deductible travel and medical/health insurance plan for Non-US citizen working in united states and visiting his/her home country. You early response will be highly appreciated. Awaiting your reply, please.

A:
We would be glad to assist. The plan that we would recommend for their travel, would be the Patriot International plan. They would have to each have their own policy, and it would cover them anywhere outside their home country. Please be advised, that their home country is currently the U.S., because this is where they reside while on their H1 visas. They are visiting their country of citizenship. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Q:I am wondering which insurance plan is best for me. I am a US citizen but living in Vietnam. I will be going to California for two weeks this month. So I need coverage in Vietnam for the next two months (while in between jobs) and also including two weeks in the US. Thank you so much in advance for your help!

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. You would have to purchase separate plans for this situation. You can purchase Atlas International to cover you while you are in Vietnam and between jobs and then Patriot America Plus for the short visit to the US. If you need additional assistance please feel free to contact our office.

Q:I have purchased "Atlas Travel Insurance" from you in the past, and I have been happy with it. I have two questions regarding temporary Health Insurance that you sell I am a US Citizen living in the United States. Can I purchase a "temporary" health insurance plan from you to use as a supplement to my legally required health insurance. The HMO plans available to me do not provide emergency coverage outside of my local area of residence. Can I purchase a plan from, you for an entire year that will provide coverage in those area not covered by my HMO? I have a daughter and grandson who occasionally visit me here in the US. In the past I have purchased temporary travel insurance from you for my daughter and I have been happy. But now she has a son (my grandson) who was born in the United States and therefore is a US Citizen. She and he both live in Japan, but they do occasionally visit me here. Can I purchase health insurance for her and for my US Citizen grandson for their visits to see me in the US? These would be short-term visits such as for a month or so. My concern is that some temporary policies exclude sales to US Citizens, although I am unclear whether that exclusion applies to children of foreigners or for minors. I understand that you do not write insurance to persons who are currently inside of Washington State. (I am a resident of Washington State.) But I understand that it is possible to purchase a policy when I am physically outside of Washington State. Is this still the case?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. The available coverage is only going to cover someone outside of their home country so we would not be able to offer you any coverage within the United States to supplement your domestic plan. There are plans that you can purchase for your daughter and grandson to cover within the United States for a short period as they would be outside of their home country of Japan. For your daughter and grandson they can purchase the Patriot America plus plan for coverage in the United States. If you need any additional assistance please contact our office.
