Q:I am an ophthalmologist in Cambodia. I will be a research scholar at Byers Eye Institute at Stanford University from May 6, 2019 to May 5, 2020. I would like to buy the health insurance for myself and my wife(now she is pregnant). How much is it per month? Will it cover the maternity? How to buy the health insurance from your company?

A:
Since she is already pregnant then there is no plan you can purchase now that will cover maternity charges or delivery. You would have to check with Stanford University to see if she is eligible for the plan they offer to get coverage. The plans we offer will cover any new illness or injury that occurs after the effective date.
