My employer will provide me a health care plan but I need a temporary health insurance to bridge the gap between the day I arrive in the US and the day I start my job 1-2 weeks and get my employer's health care plan. What type of insurance is suitable for that purpose? I first thought that I could take a visitor medical insurance but your website tells me that I cannot take such an insurance if I am resident of the US which I am not at the moment but I will be resident of the US for the duration of the insurance that I want to purchase as I will be moving to the US.
