Q:I wish to purchase travel insurance for my mother who is visiting USA next month. Below is the plan I wish to purchase. Safe Travels for visitors to the USA - Fixed Coverage Plan Period : 6 months Regarding the above I have the following queries : 1. Can I cancel the policy and get the policy premium refunded if the entry is denied at the port of entry ( i.e. at US airport ) ? 2. Can I cancel the policy and get the policy premium refunded for the balance days if admission period is limited ( say 3 months ) than the usual 6 months ? 3. AS per my understanding, "Safe Travels for visitors to the USA - Fixed Coverage" participates in First Health PPO Network

A:
Please see the answers to your questions listed below. 1. The plan is fully refundable prior to the effective date of the policy. After the effective date it would be a prorated refund minus $25 cancellation fee as long as no claims have been filed on the plans since the effective date. 2. See Answer 1 3. This plan does participate in the First Health PPO Network. If you have any additional questions please contact our office.

Q:I am Chinese graduated student at Tsinghua University in China. Recently I am applying a J1 visa to go to Pasadena as a short-term scholar. I need to buy an insurance for this J1 visa and the minimum coverage that is required per federal regulations is : 1.$100,000 per accident or illness. 2.A deductible of no more than $500 per illness and a copay not to exceed 25%. 3.Medical evacuation in the amount of $50,000. Evacuation refers to transporting an injured person for medical treatment. 4.Repatriation coverage for up to $25,000. Repatriation refers to transporting a body to the country of citizenship after death. Could you give me some advice about it ? I found an insurance, Exchange Guard Essential, maybe it is suitable?

A:
You may purchase the ExchangeGuard Essential plan as it will meet the requirement provided which are standard requirements set by the U.S. Department of State.

Q:I am trying to buy J-2 Compliant insurance for my family. I want the ExchangeGuard Choice with $250,000 policy maximum per person, $100 per-incident deductible and 100/0 co-insurance. When I entered this information, it gave me a cost summary which showed $0.00 for 3rd insured person (son). I wonder if this is what it should be. My insurance (J-1) is with a different company.

A:
The ExchangeGuard plan will cover 1 child under the age 10 at no additional cost with a covered parent on the plan. So the $0 is correct as this child will be covered but at no cost to you.

Q:About a year ago we purchased an insurance policy through your website (Green Cover by Seven Corners Insurance) for our mother who is 72 year-old green card holder living in the U.S. who is not eligible for Medicare yet. It has come to our attention that this product is no longer available for purchase on your website and we are wondering whether it was discontinued and/or it didn't apply to her case in the first place. Can you please clarify if this was the right product for her situation?

A:
Thank you for your interest in purchasing insurance through us. Green Cover plan is discontinued. You can purchase any of the plan from our new immigrant section. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

Q:My mother has been covered Patriot International for the last few months while she was in Canada. Now she's traveling to US and I'd like to extend this policy but would like to change it to include USA in coverage area. I could not figure out a way to change coverage area while trying to extend online. Is it possible to extend this policy with the new coverage area ?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. It is not possible to change the coverage area this plan as it only covers outside of the United Sates. You would have to purchase the Patriot America or Patriot America Plus option to have coverage in the United States included. If you have any additional questions please contact our office.

Q:Do you have a visitor insurance plan that can cover up to USD 1,000,000 for my 77 year old mom?

A:
Unfortunately, there are no plan options available for someone age 77 that will provide a policy maximum of $1,000,000. We would recommend purchasing two separate policies, both plans will provide a total policy maximum of $400,000. The International Major Medical plan will provide a policy maximum of $250,000 for this age group, and the Atlas America will provide a policy maximum of $150,000. Please use the link provided below to view both plans and purchase. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.
