Q:I just bought a 1-year policy and now have read the fine print that says if I return to my country of origin during that year my policy is void. Is that true?

A:
If you are just planning to go back to your country for a short period and come back, you should look into 'Incidental home country coverage' at /patriot-america-platinum/travel-medical-insurance.pdf If you return back to your country and don't plan to come back, you can cancel the policy. You will get the refund for pro-rated duration minus $50 cancellation fee as long as no claims have been submitted. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Q:Hi. I need to buy insurance for my daughter. She's 13. She's an American citizen but as a family we live abroad. She's going back to the us for school though and will need insurance. Is this something you can help with?

A:
If she is returning to the US to reside she will have to get a domestic insurance plan as the plans we offer would not allow coverage for a US citizen residing in the United States. Should you have additional questions please call our office at (866) 467-8289.
