Q:Is there a plan that includes health, vision and dental? I need one for my mom who's visiting.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. There are numerous products that are available on our website to suit your needs. For medical insurance coverage that also will include COVID-19 in the case it were to manifest after the effective date of the policy you may look here. With regard to vision and dental coverage, unfortunately there is not a visitor plan on the market that will cover the routine coverage for such thing. However, we do have a vision and dental discount plan that you may view more information regarding here. For additional information you may also call our office at (866) 467-8289.

Q:We are permanent residents of Mexico (US expats) and looking for private health coverage for Mexico excluding the US. Do these plans require us to pay for medical services up front and then get reimbursed? Do you have a participating network list of facilities that accept your insurance in Mexico? Who is underwriting the policy and do you have information on this company? Also why does your least expensive plan have an unlimited lifetime benefit versus the higher priced plans that "cap". Thank you!

A:
As an insurance broker, we have numerous plans available that could suit your needs. It is ultimately up to the provider whether they will set up the direct billing to the insurance company or not as they have control over their business practice. If you are asked to pay from your pocket you may file a claim for reimbursement for any eligible expense according to the benefits in the plan. When you view and quote the plans you will be able to see the underwriter listed below the plan name. For additional information you may also view the plan benefits and certificate wording. You may view and quote here. Should you have additional question you may find more information at the below article or call our office at (866) 467-8289.

Q:I am a US citizen and a permanent resident of Japan. I have Japanese national health insurance. I will be a visiting professor at UC Berkeley in 2022. I will then be 72 years old. I want insurance during my stay in the US that will cover me for an accident or unexpected illness, including COVID-19. Do you have a suggestion? A UC Berkeley employee said I should sign up for Obamacare. But I would rather just buy a short-term policy.

A:
There would not be a short term domestic plan available that we could offer while you are working within the United States. It would be recommended to purchase the insurance offered through your employer. Should you have additional questions please let us know.

Q:can a person over age 65 that is moving from Canada to the U.S. to get married to a u.s. citizen who is on medicare get medicare partA and part B

A:
This is something that you can either verify through the open market or through the state department of insurance in the state the individual is moving to. They may possibly be eligible for a special enrollment period. If they are needing something to bridge the gap until their domestic plan starts we have a few options available and would be happy to assist. You may look at the Bridge Plan. Should you have additional questions or need further assistance please let us know. You may also call our office at (866) 467-8289.

Q:In related to my policy my father and mother in law both had insurance and were required to be tested for COVID for returning to their home Country. Each test was $250 and we have all receipts and documentation. Can you please confirm whether this is a covered claim and the steps required for reimbursement?

A:
In plans that include the coverage for COVID-19, the test would only be covered if deemed medical necessity. The COVID-19 test would not be covered in the case of being required for travel. Should you have additional questions please let us know. You may also call our office at (866) 467-8289. You may also find additional information here.
